1. These are French painted casein buttons from the 1930s 40s era.

4. Thistle -- designed and painted by Edith and Alan J. Brooks (England). Highly prized by collectors!

5. Small Satsuma button - from the 1940s era

6. Fabric button: Collectors refer to this type of button as "Gone with the Wind" - mainly because they were produced during the Civil War era. This one depicts a bird -- figural Gone with the Wind type buttons are not easy to find!

7. 3 antique metal buttons - with cut steel embellishment.

8. Pair of hand painted porcelain stud buttons - from early 20th century.
