Plan to join us for our Next Meeting

  • July 6, 2016 1:30 P.M.      Join us for our July 6th meeting at the home of Micheline Gravel.  Call 613-841-0524 to RSVP and directions.  The agenda will focus mainly on the 2017 convention.  (Reminder that those who have not sent in a job description, should do so before the meeting.  We are starting our critical path planning documents.)

  • FIBREFEST – September 10 & 11, 2016

    The Ottawa Valley Button Club will be at the 21st Annual Fibrefest Show, Almonte, ON. September 10 & 11, 2016.
    Look for us at the Almonte Arena in Almonte -- we will have vintage, antique and collectible buttons for sale, a button exhibit, and a button identification clinic -- so bring in your treasures! The Fibrefest show is hosted by the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum.

About the Club

The Ottawa Valley Button Club is a small group of people with a passion for clothing buttons.

Learn about, preserving and displaying buttons is part of the joy of collecting buttons.  It will take you on a fascinating discovery journey that can involve history, art, fashion, socio-economics, workmanship and production.
